FRANCIE ADAMSON
Francie Adamson is a yoga therapist who over the course of more than 25 years has been helping people who find themselves overwhelmed, exhausted, and burdened by illness or injury to recover their energy and joy. Her mission is to guide you on a transformative journey towards better health both physically and mentally as you move through your life.
When Francie was only seven she discovered the power of yoga to stay centered and peaceful amid challenges. This began the lifelong journey of exploring how being connected to your body and breath builds self-awareness and empathy. Sharing this ancient system of yoga with people and empowering them to build strength, gain flexibility and mobility and deepen their connection the body’s wisdom and intuition of her own personal growth.
Facing her own difficulties in life, like divorce, raising children, and supporting ageing parents has served to deepen her understanding of the human experience, and to guide others to overcome their life challenges. Using the tools with which she succeeded in overcoming adversity. Francie works with people from where they are in terms of age, fitness, and ability, to build resilience and to overcome their life struggles on all levels.
Francie’s has guided and supported her students in navigating circumstances such as divorce, relationship difficulties, toxic work environments, and facing life-altering health conditions. Her approach enables clients to turn a new leaf, embrace the present moment, and develop unwavering trust in themselves.
Certified by the Association of Yoga Therapists, Francie’s extensive training includes Yoga teacher training with Sandra Sammartino in Vancouver, BC, in 2000 and Yoga Therapy training with Rosemary Jeanes Antze in Toronto in 2013. Her commitment to excellence ensures that clients receive the highest level of care and guidance on their path to well-being.
Beyond her dedication to yoga coaching, Francie enjoys expressing her creativity through art, nurturing bonds by cooking for family and friends, and finding enjoying in the tranquility and beauty of nature. I‘ve been doing yoga for 30 years and was looking for something more geared to my aging senior needs. Frances’ program provided me with a new approach and since I’ve been doing the Joy Core Program, I found that yoga is easier for me and my aching arthritic bones and I’ve become more flexible than before.
Through the techniques I’ve learned in class I‘ve become much more focused and grounded. One benefit is that I find it challenging mentally as well as physically. This is brain and body yoga, giving me time to feel what is going on and balance left and right centres. With my hip and back issues I find this program much better for building both flexibility and strengthening for me.
I would most definitely recommend Frances’ class for many reasons, to keep mobile and strong physically and to help with calming the mind, focusing, and improves to balance between body and mind.
